William Sweetlove was born in 1949 in Oostende, Belgium, and graduated from the University of OSU tangdeu.  For the past three years, he has been a member of the artists' collective "The Cracking Art Group", in northern Italy. He is an active member of the Cracking Art Group. Exhibition created by the plastic material of animal statues, which is a communication art and social interest in the disappearance of the animal care and environmental issues in (global warning) in daily lives.

One could see the humor, satire and irony in Sweetlove's work because he shows a variety of materials presented in paintings, sculptures and other materials. Sweetlove

 

윌리엄 스윗러브(William Sweetlove)는 벨기에의 오스탕드(Oostende)에서 1949년에 태어나 겐트에서 대학을 졸업하고, 이탈리아에서 결성된 세계적인 미술그룹 크래킹 아트 그룹(Cracking Art Group)의 일원으로 활발하게 활동하고 있다. 크래킹 아트 그룹은 동물들을 소재로 플라스틱 조각상을 만들어 전시함으로써, 일상에서 동물에 대한 관심과 환경문제(지구온난화)로 사라지는 동물들에 대한 사회적 관심을 불러일으키며 소통하는 커뮤니케이션 예술이다.

스윗러브는 그림, 조각, 아상블라주에 표현된 그 자신을 다양한 재료를 통해 보여주기 때문에 작품에는 풍자와 유머, 아이러니가 담겨있으다. 색상이 들어간 플라스틱을 이용해 만들어진 개, 양, 사자와 같은 동물 형상의 재생과 복제는 화석화와 더불어 그의 연구의 한 부분을 이룬다. 인간과 밀접한 관련이 있는 “동물”에 초점을 맞추어 스윗러브는 동물은 인간의 무책임한 행동의 결과로 인한 자연 상태의 심각성을 조명한다.
